Inspirational training and research for a resilient water future

We need resilient, secure and sustainable water systems to have a thriving society and economy. However, climate change and water stress is causing outdated infrastructure to fail while the demand for water is projected to increase by 55% by 2050.

CDT WIRe is a research collaboration of internationally-renowned universities intent on developing the next generation of scientists and engineers to transform the management of our civic water resources, assets, and services.

What CDT WIRe has to offer

We provide our PhD students with a unique end-user-led training programme, providing the technical and transferable skills necessary for careers in both academia and industry. Students will complete the doctoral training programme equipped with the ability to transform their research into impactful outcomes and become future leaders in their field.
