The WIRe CDT is a research collaboration of internationally-renowned universities intent on developing the next generation of scientists and engineers to transform the management of our civic water resources, assets and services.
We provide our PhD students with a unique end user-led doctoral training programme, providing the technical and transferable skills necessary for careers in both academia and industry. Students will complete the doctoral training programme equipped with the ability to transform their research into impactful outcomes and become future leaders in their field.
The WIRe CDT-funded PhD studentships offer researchers:
An enhanced stipend of £24,000,
Funding to cover travel and subsistence to attend conferences, workshops, events, and personal and professional development training courses
Placements with industry sponsors
International placements at world leading institutions
