What CDT WIRe has to offer:
We provide our PhD students with a unique end-user-led training programme, providing the technical and transferable skills necessary for careers in both academia and industry. Students will complete the doctoral training programme equipped with the ability to transform their research into impactful outcomes and become future leaders in their field.
CDT WIRe-funded PhD studentships offer researchers:
- An enhanced annual stipend of £26,546.40 (from October 2026)
- Funding to cover travel and subsistence to attend conferences, workshops, events, and personal and professional development training courses
- Placements with industry sponsors
- International placements at world-leading institutions
- Access to world-leading water infrastructure testing facilities
